HGTV just announced we’re getting 12 new one-hour episodes of Married to Real Estate starring our fave real estate broker Egypt Sherrod and her builder husband Mike Jackson. The couple helps clients buy and renovate their dream homes in the Atlanta-metro area. The new series is slated to premiere in early 2023.

In season 1, we got to watch Egypt and Mike juggle their booming property business, manage a home and raise three daughters. Known for being super real (both on and off camera), it’s no surprise they attracted more than 19 million viewers.

The couple opens up about body positivity, their three-part meet-cute and life in front of the camera.

Now, with a Rock the Block win under their tool belts, we're excited to see what they have up their sleeves for season 2. Of course, we can expect to see Egypt — who previously starred in HGTV’s Property Virgins and Flipping Virgins — leveraging her financial prowess, design expertise and knowledge of the housing market to find affordable houses in ideal neighborhoods for clients, while Mike and his team, staying mindful of the budget, work to turn the dated properties into beautiful homes with increased value. And, naturally, we’re hoping to get a glimpse of their new puppy Serene.

“This large pick-up order is in line with an extremely positive response from fans who had an immediate connection with Egypt and Mike in season 1 of Married to Real Estate,” says Betsy Ayala, senior vice president, programming & development, HGTV. “They put their own family first and work twice as hard to make their clients’ dream homes a reality — and they laugh and have fun together through all of it. Their outlook on life is an inspiration, and everyone is excited to see what’s next for them in season 2.”
