Jasmine Roth wins the ultimate daughter award for renovating a SoCal condo for her mom, which — in classic Jasmine style — is decked out with the cleverest decorating hacks. One of our favorite spaces in the condo is the back patio, which Jasmine created to match the sophisticated-surf ambiance inside. She elevated it with a hanging surfboard, twinkle lights and a sweet doormat from her shop. But what really takes it to the next level is the click-in tile flooring, which the team put over an original concrete slab.

The best part? “Click-in tiles are a really easy way to transform your patio,” says Jasmine. “Not only was this easy to install, but the wood tones of the tiles really matched the beach vibe.” It's also more affordable and more temporary than actual tile, so it's great for renters or budget-conscious renovators.

We liked Jasmine’s porch look so much, we found a tile look-alike on Overstock.

Ready to revamp? Once you've got your tiles at the ready, it's smooth sailing. First, clear out your patio, porch or deck. Then, simply lay the tiles down and click them together (try starting in a corner). This installation doesn’t even require tools.

We know this isn't the only trick Jasmine has up her sleeve, and we'll be keeping a close eye on what she does next. “I can’t wait to hang out with my mom out here,” says Jasmine of the finished patio. “Looks like this is my excuse to come visit.”
